The Best lead off man in baseball

When it comes to talking about being a team player I think that a lead off hitter describes "team" fairly good. I don't think there is anybody better at the position than Philly's man "JRoll" Jimmy Rollins.

Jimmy, and lead off men in general have probably the most important offensive job in baseball. Start the game off right. set the tempo. Now, When Rollins steps up to the plate for that lead off bat he's not specifically thinking “Home run” if it happens OK, but his job, like I said is just to get on base, to be that team player. So you see, as you might imagine sometimes Rollins stats might suffer, maybe some columns of the stats don’t look as good as others as he would like, maybe he wants more RBI (Runs batted in) or maybe he just wants to go out there and start the game off with a home run. But that’s not what a team player does. He makes sacrifices for his team and his fellow players. Having talent is GREAT, but if your not a team you can have all the talent in the world and still miss the post season (Read: Dallas Cowboys)

That’s why I won’t really care if T.O. is released from the cowboys next season. I believe his mouth has gotten bigger than his stats. 2008 was a put up or shut up year for the Cowboys, we didn’t put up, but T.O never shut up either. He’s got “ALL THAT TALENT” but in his own mind he’s better than he really is and end the end all that makes him is a a non team playing pompous jerk. No one like a pompous a jerk.

I just had a thought. How sweet would it be if the cowboys picked up “the little animal” James - I can’t spell his last name- ittis. in the draft? We need corner/safeties more than LB’s though.

After an entire week of being up till 5Am (mostly because of playing Halo) Sunday morning I went to be at 1AM and I thought “sweet I’m golden now, I’ll get a good nights sleep (because I’m tired!) and get up early for church and not sleep through that. Woke up at 4ish WIDE AWAWE. Tried to go back to sleep, but didn’t happen, so, whaddya know, 5AM rolls around I decide to sit up and write this… Oh the Irony.
